Updated Statement on Our Church Services- effective immediately

“All services and activities on MBC campus will adhere to the Dare County State of Emergency Declaration for Covid 19. This mandate requires masks to be worn to cover mouth and nose when 6 ft social distancing cannot be maintained. For members and visitors of our church, some examples of when 6 ft social distancing cannot be maintained include:

  • Entering and exiting the building.
  • Walking down isles or other confined spaces.
  • Walking to and entering the restroom.

Both indoor and outdoor activities must use masks where at least 6 ft of social distance cannot be maintained. This includes outdoor services or any other activities on church property.”

This means that once you are seated in the sanctuary (if you attend the inside service) you may remove your mask, because you will be socially distanced. You do not have to wear a mask for the entirety of the service. Again, it is only when you are “unable” to maintain the six feet social distancing rule.

Those individuals with legitimate health reasons, or children under 12 are exempt. This policy will remain in effect as long as county or state legal mandates are in place.
