Manteo Baptist Church is involved in several outreach projects. We strive to live missionally because of the changing work that Jesus Christ has accomplished in our lives. We desire to bring the good news of the gospel to everyone we encounter. These outreach efforts are the response of some of our church members to this compulsion to live on mission.

Family Life Center

Manteo Baptist Church is excited to have completed construction on its brand new gymnasium and Family Life Center in the beginning of 2012. This multi-purpose building contains a full basketball court, ping pong table, cornhole set, other games, and plenty of space for everyone to hang out.

Campground Ministry

Every Sunday between Memorial Day and Labor Day (the vacation season for the Outer Banks), MBC members sponsor a worship service at The Refuge campground in Wanchese. Worship services are from 8:30-9:30 on Sunday mornings and involve music and preaching. The music and messages are provided by MBC and other local churches. This is a great opportunity to get the message of the gospel out to those who come to our area on vacation. SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER TODAY.

Women’s Jail Ministry

God opened up the opportunity to share His love to incarcerated women in our local jail in March 2012. Every Thursday Morning, several women from MBC go to the jail to spend time with some of the residents. Being advocates of Jesus Christ, our women have the opportunity to play games, share laughter, teach God’s Word, pray with, and show love to women who are hungry to know that there is something better!

Disaster Relief Ministry

North Carolina Disaster Relief
When natural disasters strike, the church must be willing to respond as the hands and feet of Jesus. In cooperation with the North Carolina Baptist Men and Women, several members of our church respond to domestic disaster situations by providing relief for victims. The purpose of NC Baptist Men and Women’s Disaster Relief Ministry is to relieve human suffering caused by disasters by providing among other things: hot meals, debris removal, child care and family assistance. This is a great way for men, women, and students to be involved in outreach and mercy ministry.

Food Bank of the Albemarle

The Mission of the Food Bank is to fight hunger and poverty within its 15-county service area in northeast North Carolina. It is a regional clearing house for the collection and distribution of food and grocery items to non-profit and faith-based organizations for their food programs and to eligible individuals for their food needs. The Food Bank truck is stationed at the Manteo Baptist Church parking lot on the second Thursday of each month from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm.
